Taking the idea a step forward, Brajesh Chauhan, an instructor at The Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun, suggests,”Like in many other nations of the world, national service in the form of compulsory service for one year with any one wing of the Armed Forces should be made compulsory for every single graduate for a time period ranging from six months to an year.  This will inculcate a sentiment of national pride among the youth.” Moverover, the instructor also recommends marking days like the Kargil Vijay Diwas for visits by University students to military training institutions like the RIMC, Sainik Schools, NDA, OTA, IMA the Air Force Academy and the Naval Academy to apprise them of the training that boys and girls undergo to become a part of one of the largest armies of the world. This compulsory service will also generate self discipline and help youngsters channelize their abundant energy into a more plosive direction,” she point out.
